Chick-fil-A School Drive helps with student supplies

Central Office employees spent a greater portion of last
Wednesday sorting through goo gobs of donated school supplies that were
collected by the county's seven Chick-fil-A and Truett Grill
restaurants. Supplies will be distributed to schools beginning Friday,
August 14. "The community was truly generous," said Rhonda Burnough,
CCPS community relations liaison. "They gave more than 200 boxes filled
with supplies to Chick-fil-A restaurants for students to use." Teachers
that use their personal finances to help with student supplies will
benefit from the donations, too. Nationally, teachers spend an average
of $659 out-of-pocket-expenses each year on school materials.
