Clayton County Police Department - Junior Deputy Program at Smith ES

Fourth grade students received their certificates and badges from Clayton County Sheriff's Office for completing a six week Junior Deputy Program. The six week program included activities that promote safety such as fire safety, water safety, as well as seatbelt and helmet safety. The Junior Deputy Program trains the youth of today in a manner that encourages strong, safe, patriotic, law-abiding citizens who possess good moral character, integrity, trustworthiness, and the desire to perform good deeds for others. On May 12, the Sheriff's Office will hold its annual banquet to announce the Junior Deputy of the Year for the county-wide program.
