Clayton County the Clayton County Public School System
is the 113th largest school district in the United States and the
fifth largest in Georgia. Just 12 miles south of Atlanta,
Clayton County covers 143 square miles and is home to over 275,000
residents.

Nearly 50% of our faculty have advanced degrees.

Traveling 30,500 miles and making 10,368 stops, our
377 buses transport 31,200 children daily.

Our commitment to the performing arts is unparalleled.
The district's first magnet school, the Fine Arts Academy at Mt.
Zion High School, opened in August 2007. The district is one
of first in Georgia to assign full-time music and art specialists at
every school. The 1,800 seat Performing Arts
Center, built in 1990, provides students with a location that
not only provides instruction, but also serves as a performance
venue.
