Resolution to Request
State Legislature to Strengthen Board Ethics Policy
Clayton County Public Schools is your school system, and you are welcome
at all Board meetings. Your interest and involvement are important in
helping Clayton County Public Schools remain one of the best school
systems in metro Atlanta and Georgia.
The nine members of the Clayton County
Board of Education are citizens who are elected to serve staggered
four-year terms. The Board establishes general policies, approves
expenditures and appointments, sets the tax rate, and decides school
sites and construction. The Board is advised and informed of school
needs and progress by the superintendent, who is responsible for school
district administration.

Making A Presentation To The Board
The Clayton County Board of Education welcomes public input at its
regular Board meetings. The procedures for Making a Presentation to the
Board is, at present, under review to bring it up-to-date. A revised set
of procedures will be posted here in the near future.
