Substitute employment is on an on-call, as-needed basis.
It is a part-time position without benefits.
Substitute teachers are only
required for assignments while school is in session.
CCPS has chosen SubFinder to manage the assignments for
our substitute teachers.
This is an automated system that is simple to
operate.
Using a touch-tone telephone keypad, you can call into hear
assignments
that you may want to accept. The system will also call you to
offer job assignments.
To apply for substitute teaching, you will be required to
supply a copy of your diploma
or transcript to verify your highest level
of education. We do NOT accept transcripts
printed from the Internet.
Once your completed application is submitted, it will be reviewed.
You
will be notified by the Human Resources Department ONLY if your application is
selected to complete the process to become a substitute teacher. NOTE:
Due to the abundance of applications, it is impossible to select everyone
to become a substitute teacher. Applications are reviewed throughout the
school year. Orientations are held several times during the year.
