Riverdale HS - MIss Elite of Clayton County Pageant
Eleven ladies from Clayton County High Schools will compete in Riverdale High School's Second Annual Miss Elite of Clayton County Pageant. The pageant will be held on Sunday, Jan. 23 at 5 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center.
"Our pageant will provide students the opportunity to express themselves through unique talent and verbal ability in a positive manner," said Vietta Bell, committee member. "By competing, students are bound to gain confidence, improve public speaking, develop poise, and build self esteem."
The contestants will be judged on their talent and verbal performance. The winner will be crowned Miss Elite of Clayton County 2011 and will receive a $500.00 savings bond towards her choice of post-secondary education or in any manner she may choose.
Tickets can be purchased for $8 in advance at Riverdale High School or $10 at the door. A portion of the proceeds from the pageant will be donated to the Women and Children’s Shelter. The Performing Arts Center is located at 2530 Mount Zion Parkway in Jonesboro.
