Business Services
The fiscal year for the Clayton County Public Schools starts July 1 and ends June 30.
The Business Services Division is entrusted with the responsibility of providing economical,
honest, and transparent stewardship of the taxpayers' dollars. To meet this goal and to ensure
the accountability of all financial transactions and support districts operations, Business
Services is organized with eight departments: Accounts Payable, Accounting Services, Budgets
& Grants, Internal Audits, Payroll, Purchasing, Position Control, and Warehouse Operations.
It provides a wide variety of activities to support the general public as well as local
governmental agencies, vendors, and employees.
Some of the business processes supported by this department include:
- Annual budget development
- Monthly financial report creation
- Annual state audit coordination
- Grant funds management
- Accounts payable transactions
- Payroll functions (including W-2 and 1099 processing)
