Welcome to the Division of Human Resources-Benefits Unit for Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS). Our goal is to provide each CCPS benefit-eligible employee with exceptional customer service.  

CCPS provides benefit-eligible employees with a comprehensive suite of benefits through the State of Georgia to offer a robust employee benefits package that best meet the unique needs of our diverse workforce.

Our most popular and traditional benefits offerings are medical/health, dental, vision, life and disability insurances. Eligibility for most benefits occurs after the first 30 days of employment. Changes to benefit elections are permissible annually or within 30 days of an approved qualifying event.

Mandatory automatic enrollment in our retirement benefit options, Teacher’s Retirement System (TRS) or Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS), is required for all benefit-eligible employees. Eligible employees are auto-enrolled in the TRS or PSERS plan as of the date of hire or eligibility.

CCPS’s benefits package offers a variety of tax-sheltered annuity plans. These options allow employees to defer compensation on a pre-tax basis through payroll deductions, and those plans are the 403(b) and 457(b) plans. 

These benefits allow employees to save on taxes as premiums are deducted in a pre-tax status, which reduces taxable income.
