CLAYTON COUNTY ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAM
Registration Information

For classes beginning after January 1, 2010, according to Georgia state law, all applicants for Adult Education programs, ages 18 and over, must:

*be United States citizens or legal permanent residents, or

*be qualified aliens or non-immigrants under the Federal Immigration and Nationality Act, Title 8 U.S.C.  These individuals will be required to provide alien number issued by the Department of Homeland Security or other federal immigration agency.

Park in the Spring Street parking lot and enter the building through the lower level entrance.

Park on the Spring Street side of the building and come in at the lower level entrance to room 266.

Registration will take a minimum of two hours and will begin at 9:00AM. DO NOT BE LATE. You must be present for the entire orientation and scheduling sessions. If you are 16 or 17 you cannot test without going through the classes and receiving state permission. If you are 18 or 19 you will need a withdrawal form from the last school attended. YOU CANNOT REGISTER WITHOUT THIS.

You will be assigned to a test date pending space availability at registration.

The cost of the test is $95.00.  Retests are $19.00 per test.
Cash or a money order only. NO CHECKS! MUST BRING EXACT AMOUNT OF CASH.

YOU MUST BRING YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CARD OR PROOF OF YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.

Must bring a picture ID.  One of the following is acceptable as ID:

  • Driver’s license with picture

  • State ID with picture

  • Military ID

  • Passport

  • Correctional ID

English as a Second Language

ESL for adults is offered through day and evening classes. Schedules are available upon request.
