Facilities Maintenance
"Whatever It Takes"


 

The Clayton County Public Schools Maintenance Department repairs and maintains over 76 campuses totaling 1,618 acres; spread over 146 square miles, including 36 elementary schools, 15 middle schools, 10 high schools, and 15 auxiliary facilities. The combined interior square footage of the district's permanent and portable buildings is over 8.5 million square feet.

 

On average, the department completes approximately 25,000 work orders each year, which include renovations and modifications to facilities as well as preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and assistance with construction projects.

 

The Clayton County Public Schools Maintenance Department is committed to doing “Whatever it Takes” to provide the highest level of support to ensure our students and staff have safe and clean learning and working environments.
