Food Service Kitchen Equipment Department

"Fueling Student Achievement through Proper Nutrition"

The Nutrition Services Kitchen Maintenance Department is led by the Nutrition Director. The staff consists of one supervisor and four technicians. The team supports the repair and/or replacement of over 2,000 pieces of commercial grade equipment in 64 kitchens within the Clayton County Public Schools district. The team's scope of work is also supported by the Facilities Maintenance Department personnel.

The department has provided outstanding service and is instrumental in maintaining the integrity of the food service equipment and food quality. Embedded in the program is a 24 hour temperature monitoring and rapid emergency response protocol. Student safety and academic achievement is always the primary focus. The teamwork of the departments has contributed to the success of the school district and the 53,000 students being served through this collaboration.
