Community Engagement
The Clayton County Professional Learning
Department is now expanding its training opportunities to our
parents and community through Parent/ Community
Engagement Workshops. The workshops address a number of
issues that promote school/ home relationships, parents
assisting students, and student safety. In addition, there are
workshops that address the needs of our various stakeholders and
populations and workshops for personal needs and interests. The
Professional Learning Center will provide interpreters and a
variety of speakers with diverse backgrounds that will enhance
the quality of the presentations. Currently scheduled workshops
include, but are not limited to the following:

The Professional Learning Center has established connections
with Community Resources for the planning of future workshops
including The Archway Project, The Clayton County Chamber of
Commerce, the Clayton County Adult Education Program and other
local technical colleges and universities.Other
upcoming projects include a Community Extravaganza where all
departments and community resources display the services
available in the school system and community and a monthly
television show on Channel 24 named the Professional Learning
Connection. All these services link professional learning to our
community as we learn more, do more, and achieve more.
