Bulletin Board Ideas

About this Website

Judy Serritella is Coordinator of Library Media Services for the Georgia State Department of Education.  She recently left her position as a Library/Media Specialist at Lovejoy High School in Lovejoy, Georgia.  She held that position since the school opened in 1989.  She was responsible for the school's website which won numerous awards.  Judy also sponsored Student Council and was a part of the leadership team at the school.  She was  named Georgia's Media Specialist of the Year in November 2001 and was the national Media Specialist of the Year in 2002.  Judy's book, Look Again! Bulletin Board Ideas that Make Secondary Students Take a Second Look was published by Linworth in April 2002.  Judy has her Master's degree in Library Media from Georgia State University in Atlanta and is presently working on her Specialist degree in Instructional Technology from the State University of West Georgia in Carrollton.  She is a member of the Georgia Library Media Association, Georgia Library Association, Georgia Association of Instructional Technology, American Library Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the National Education Association.  She is also a trustee for the Clayton County (Ga.) Public Library System.

This web page began as an idea, turned into a grant financed by the Georgia Library Media Association and then became a book.

Sherry Hall and Mark Rettig of the Clayton County (Georgia) Board of Education helped to set up this web site.  Thanks also to Linworth Publishing for the opportunity to turn the web page idea into a book.

Library Media Specialists from around the United States and from around the world have contributed ideas to both the web site and to Look Again!   The web page continues to be updated often and ideas are welcome.
