| What do I need to bring with me? |
| There are a number
of documents REQUIRED to complete the enrollment process.
Parents must bring all of these documents at one time before
an enrollment form will be completed (the office will not
hold partial sets of information). Please bring the
following items with you to enrollment: |

Verification of Residency |
| |
|
Parents or guardians must reside in Clayton County in order
for their children to attend Clayton County Public Schools.
Two official documents indicating residence in the Clayton
County attendance area must be provided. These documents
should bear the name of the person signing as the permanent
resident of the dwelling. Acceptable proof of residence
includes the following: |

Valid
mortgage or lease agreement |
| |

Copy
of residential sales contract |
| |
|
 |
Current
utility bill reflecting service address. We accept, gas,
water, power, property tax bills, dated within the past
two months. We do NOT accept credit card bills, drivers
license, cell/home phone bill, or cable bills.

Receipt to have utilities connected ( gas,
electric, or water) |

Certified Birth Certificate |
| |
|
Please
bring a certified birth certificate indicating birth date

Verification of Guardianship (when applicable) |
| |
|
Appropriate records for verification of guardianship are as
follows: |

Divorce decree granting joint physical custody or sole
custody to a Clayton Count resident, or an amendment to the
divorce decree by the court granting the divorce |
| |
|
 |
Temporary order for placement through Probate Court |
| |
|
 |
Placement documents issued through juvenile court and/or
DFACS |
| |
|
 |
When
parents have never been married, the birth mother is the
legal guardian and is verified by the certified birth
certificate. Fathers of children born out of wedlock must
provide verification of legitimation and custody obtained
through Superior. Persons other than the parent, must
provide custody documentation. This process starts in
Probate Court. |

Student Social Security Card |
| |
|
Parents are requested to provide an official copy of the
child’s social security card. Parents or guardians who
object to submitting a social security number or application
may receive a waiver by signing a statement objecting to
this requirement; however, parents and students should be
aware that a social security number is required to receive
the HOPE Scholarship. |
