WORKTEC is a Community Rehabilitation Program centered in Jonesboro, Georgia. Our mission is to create and provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

In operation since 1977, WORKTEC utilizes the collaborative efforts of local businesses, various government agencies and the community to achieve quality outcomes with individuals we serve. As a unit of the Clayton County Public Schools, WORKTEC has the ability to serve both youth transitioning from school programs as well as adult populations.

Specific WORKTEC programs and services include:

	Vocational Assessment: A formal process of determining vocation skills, abilities and interest and matching them to areas of potential employment.		Community Employment Services: Assistance in job search and job placement. Staff members work with employers to find successful job matches, provide resources, job coaching, and follow-up assistance.
	Employee Development Services: Participation in real work settings to learn work requirements, work habits, productivity levels and attitudes needed to be successful in community employment.		Business Services: Commercial, Federal and State contracts specializing in administrative services, mail distribution, janitorial and landscape management and construction.
