When weather reports
indicate that our area may be in for some icy/wintry weather
creating hazardous driving conditions, district administrators will keep
careful watch on the situation and will be prepared to make
decisions regarding the status of school and school offices. Please be
reminded that every effort will be made to make a decision as early
as possible. That decision will be posted with Metro Area television
and radio stations, on Channel 24, and on the district’s Web site if
possible. Please remember that we will
not report that
schools are open. That
should be understood.
Below are the
message formats that will be used. Those messages with a ** may also
contain a specific reporting time. In lieu of a specific reporting
time, employees should report when they are safely able to do so.
|
Clayton County Public Schools will communicate its
decision to close schools in one of these official
school closing message formats: |
