New Communications Procedures

If a member of the media should contact you via phone, e-mail, or show up at your school or office, seeking information or requesting to cover a story, please do not offer comments at that time.

Instead, direct them to call the Communications Office at (770) 473-2735 or contact Charles White at clwhite@clayton.k12.ga.us as he will facilitate this process.

This will centralize the flow of communications to the public, Superintendent Edmond Heatley, CCPS Board Members, administrators, and allow for clear understanding of the request.

Charles White will respond to all journalists’ inquiries and requests for:

•     Comments/Information

•     Photographs and digital images

•     Interview scheduling and video opportunities at all schools and facilities of the CCPS

•     News releases

Charles White will contact you at your office or school to notify you of any request from the media that may involve:

•     A visit to your school

•     Preparation for interview

•     Direction through the process, comments or messages to be conveyed to the public
