Severe Weather Alert: Friday, October 9, 2026
The National Weather Service (NWS) overview of Hurricane Isaias: The most significant impact to our area is expected to come after midnight. This means there would be no major threat to Friday afternoon/evening activities or events. Gusting winds are anticipated to begin this evening and through Saturday afternoon.
While the level of impact to North and Central Georgia will depend on the track the storm will follow, conditions could include widespread heavy rain, strong winds, and the potential for tornadoes Saturday morning through early Sunday. Flash flooding in low-lying areas could result.
Fall Break | October 12–16, 2026
Clayton County Public Schools will observe Fall Break from Monday, October 12, through Friday, October 16. We hope our students, families, teachers, and staff enjoy a safe, relaxing, and refreshing break! We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, October 19.
