Pre-Opening and Closing Checklist

Pre-Opening Checklist- New petitioners, please use this checklist as a guide for opening a school. Pre-Opening Suspension. In the event the Charter School fails to comply with  the charter contract (Pre-Opening Checklist) or with any material provision set forth in the Charter that requires compliance prior to the opening of the Charter School, the opening may be
suspended until a time after all requirements have been fulfilled by the Charter School as
determined by the local district and Department. Suspension shall not result in an extension
of the Charter term.

Closing Tasklist-If your school is non-renewed, please use this closing tasklist for closures. Please note, both the pre-opening checklist and closure tasklist will be emailed to all charters with specific deadlines and contact persons upon approval or non-renewal of a charter.
