Mr. Eugene Herrington

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Eugene Herrington has more than 28 years of experience
in public and governmental accounting, budgeting, and financial management. He
earned a bachelors degree in Accounting from Alabama State University in
Montgomery, Alabama, and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)
from the Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University in Atlanta, Georgia.

After spending ten years in public accounting, Mr. Herrington transitioned into public
education, where he served as a Senior Budget Analyst and later Assistant Director of
Budgets with Atlanta Public Schools for ten years. He then served as Director of
Finance/Chief Financial Officer for the Lamar County School System before accepting
the position of Executive Director of Finance with Douglas County School System.
Shortly thereafter, he joined Clayton County Public Schools as the Assistant Chief
Financial Officer. Within two years, he was appointed to lead the Division of Fiscal
Stewardship and Optimization, where he currently serves as Fiscal Stewardship and
Optimization Officer.

Committed to professional excellence, Mr. Herrington has earned the Local Government
Level I Certification and Public Financial Accounting Personnel Certification through the
Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia. He is also a graduate
of the Public Finance Leaders Academy and Leadership Lamar through the University
of Georgia's J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development.
