Ms. Mercedes Miller

Mercedes Miller is a respected hospitality executive and community leader with more than 35 years of experience in tourism, destination marketing, venue management, and municipal leadership.

Most recently, she served as President and CEO of the ATL Airport District Convention & Visitors Bureau, where she led regional tourism and economic development initiatives for the communities surrounding Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Prior to that, she served as Executive Director of the Gateway Center Campus, overseeing the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC), Gateway Center Arena, and Historic College Park Golf Course.

Mercedes began her career with the GICC in 1995 and rose through the organization to Executive Director. She also served as Interim City Manager for the City of College Park, successfully leading the city through the COVID-19 pandemic while implementing key employee initiatives.

She currently serves on several community and industry boards and is a graduate of the International Association of Venue Managers Graduate Institute and a Certified Mediator for the State of Georgia.

Mercedes has been recognized among Georgia Trend’s 500 Most Influential Leaders, the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Top 100 Leaders in Hospitality, Who’s Who in Black Atlanta, and the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau’s 50 Most Influential Women. She is passionate about mentorship, community engagement, and creating lasting economic impact through hospitality and tourism.
