Superintendent of Clayton County Public Schools, Dr. Morcease J. Beasley, made a presentation last week before the Clayton County Board of Commissioners’ Regular Business Meeting on Tuesday, November 7 at 7:00 PM. 

Superintendent Beasley spoke publicly to the Commissioners, other elected officials and present members of the Clayton County community about the current improvements underway for Clayton County Public Schools as well as his belief that the school system is the engine that directly impacts the economic growth of the entire community.  Superintendent Beasley also shared with all stakeholders his plan to create a culture that’s Committed to High Performance and highlighted his Critical Areas of Focus for the 2017-18 School Year—a plan that strategically outlines instructional priorities of Literacy, Numeracy, Critical Thinking, and Technology Integration.
 
In addition, the plan places emphasis on increased Academic and Wrap-Around Support for student achievement; Professional Development—building leadership capacity; Expanding community partnerships with the newly established Engagement, Governmental Relations, and Partnerships Division and; enhancing Community, Public Relations, and Marketing efforts to improve the school district’s brand and improve public support.
