Using Fractions To Build (Grades: 4-5)

Using Fractions to Build is a fun and engaging experience for 4th and 5th graders.  Students will engage in hands-on learning about fractions, measurement, and scaling.  Students will have fun working with area and perimeter through creative team assignments.  Students will stretch their imagination and dream big by learning how to draw to 1/4" scale and designing their own dream home.  The culminating event in this STEM experience is the construction of a house that the entire class can occupy.
