Mrs. Emma Benton
Emma Benton currently serves as Chief of Finance in Clayton County Public Schools. Prior to joining CCPS, she worked for more than 25 years for public companies. Along her journey, she has worked for Fortune 500 companies such as General Motors, RJ Reynolds and Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals.

Mrs. Benton is a member of Georgia Association of School Board Officials (GASBO), Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), and National Black MBA Association (NBMBA). She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from the University of Montevallo- Montevallo, Alabama and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Case Western Reserve University- Cleveland, OH. Additionally, Mrs. Benton earned a Women’s Leadership certificate from Olin Business School Washington University- St. Louis, MO and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mrs. Benton is results-oriented with broad experience in all aspects of accounting and financial management and is described as a dynamic, hands-on leader that is dedicated to helping organizations reach their maximum financial potential.
