JONESBORO – Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) is proud to offer Summer Learning Camps and Programs for summer 2023. Summer Learning will offer standards-based and positive learning experiences for kids that will support improving their academic skills in literacy, math, science and social studies as well as build their capacity in creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, so that CCPS students have the skills to live and compete successfully in a global society. The district will provide multiple enrichment and remediation summer program opportunities to support student academic achievement and social well-being.
The various programs that are part of the Summer Learning Programs are: Summer Enrichment Academy (SEA) for math and literacy support, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Camps, Advanced Learning Academy (ALA), Extended School Year (ESY), Early Learning Kindercamp, Fine Arts Camps, and High School Credit Recovery. Each program reflects high levels of engagement with a focus on learning in reading, writing, math, social studies, science, computer science, arts, and many more.
For Parents/Students: Students interested in participating in STEM Camps, Summer Enrichment Academy or Advanced Learning Academy must complete an online application via the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. The application will be available from March 6, 2023 to April 2, 2023. Acceptance into any of the programs or transportation is not guaranteed if registration occurs after April 2, 2023. To successfully complete a Summer Learning application, parents/guardians should ensure they have access to Infinite Campus. Parents will need a username and password to access their portal account. Parents/guardians may contact the parent liaison at their student's school or counselor for assistance with accessing your Infinite Campus account. To avoid delays in transportation and receiving information about our summer programs, please make certain that all important information (physical address, telephone number, email address, etc.) are up-to-date. If language interpretation is needed, please contact Clayton County Public Schools International Center for assistance.
