Student Discipline

Welcome to the Department of Student Discipline

The Department of Student Discipline provides support, oversight, and coordination for planning, implementing, and assessing initiatives/practices that promote positive student behavior, safe, secure, and orderly environments in which teaching and learning are a priority. The Department of Student Discipline develops, coordinates and implements the Student Codes of Conduct which promote appropriate student behavior, positive climate and a culture of  respect and dignity by supporting students as they strive to become productive, responsible citizens in a global society.

The department provides recommendations to school officials on discipline matters, and conducts school personnel trainings on behavior management and supportive student discipline. Protecting the due process rights of students who violate school rules and policies is one of the  many responsibilities of this department.

The Department of Student Discipline provides staff with effective scientific and evidence based interventions and strategies for students; and coordinates behavioral supports to enhance school climate and maximize student achievement.
