This is the image for the news article titled Solar Eclipse View Notification FormDue to “The Great American Solar Eclipse” – the first solar eclipse since 1918 that will be visible throughout the entire continental United States, Clayton County will experience an estimated ninety- seven (97) percent obscurity of the sun on Monday, August 21, 2017.

As the safety of all students and employees is always the top priority of Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS), it is imperative for all parents/guardians to fill out and return the attached Solar Eclipse Viewing Notification Form back to their child’s school/teacher on Friday, August 18, 2017.  

The form establishes or denies parental permission for the elementary school students to participate in activities related to viewing the solar eclipse using Solar Eclipse Glasses and pinhole projectors as provided by the school district.

If the school/teacher does not receive a returned form, your child will remain inside the school building to engage in meaningful solar eclipse lesson activities.  Thank you in advance for your time and prompt attention to this request.
