General Education Development (GED) Program 

Clayton County Public Schools General Educational Development (GED) program allows individuals who still need to complete their high school education to earn an equivalent credential. The GED program offers a path to obtain a GED certificate, which is recognized as the equivalent of a high school diploma.

The GED program offers comprehensive preparation for the GED test, which assesses the knowledge and skills in four core subject areas: Language Arts (Reading and Writing), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The program provides instruction and resources to help students review and master the content covered in these subjects.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Program

County Public School’s Adult ESOL program aims to foster comprehensive language development, covering essential aspects such as speaking, listening comprehension, reading, writing, grammar, and pronunciation—all integrated within relevant content.

The ESOL program is structured around three key components: workforce skills, life skills, and academic skills. Its approach is rooted in a communicative, integrative, and student-centered methodology, aligning with well-established research on language acquisition and adult learning.
