Renewals
Locally-approved charter schools whose charter terms expire on June 30, 2026, must submit a renewal application during the 2025-2026 school year. Please visit the SCSC website for local renewals. Per CCPS MOU agreements, charter schools deadline to submit renewal applications is 6 months in advance of the charter expiration date. It is the responsibility of the charter school to submit applications within this timeframe. Applications received after the required timeframe will be rejected. Upon receipt of the renewal application, CCPS will have 90 days to review and make a decision on renewal. The petition review will include at least 1 site visit conducted each year, and capacity interview. All applicants who submit petitions by the renewal deadline will be granted a capacity interview. All renewal decisions will be completed by June 30, 2026.
