Class of 2025 Graduation Hub

Entry into the ceremonies will be ticketed. Be advised that tickets will be distributed directly to seniors by respective school leadership; therefore, stakeholders should not visit schools to pick up tickets for graduation. This decision is due to the district’s commitment to providing a safe event for students and their guests, and our employees. Those attending the ceremony will be scanned upon entry. Event guests will be asked to show the contents of their pockets upon entry to the venue.

**Everyone, regardless of age, must have a ticket for entry.**

Guests attending ceremonies at either the Performing Arts Center in Jonesboro or the Georgia International
Convention Center in College Park may only bring a single CLEAR, see-through bag which must meet the
following standards:

● Bags/totes that are CLEAR plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12."
● All bags/totes will be checked at the gate prior to entering the Performing Arts Center or the Georgia
International Convention Center.
● No buckles, grommets/hardware or décor can be concealing any part of the bag/tote – the bag/tote
literally must be all CLEAR.

Guests will be asked to return bags that are not clear or see-through to their vehicle(s). District/GICC staff
will not be responsible for holding or watching items. There will be NO re-entry into the GICC. If you
leave, you will not be able to return. (You may only re-enter if you are returning a non-see-through bag to
your vehicle.)

Each ceremony will be live-streamed from the GICC and is accessible on the district’s website, www.clayton.k12.ga.us. Watch parties for family and friends are also encouraged.

Parking at the facility, which is limited, will cost $15. Payment will be by card only. Carpooling is strongly encouraged. The lot will be closed when capacity has been reached. If parking at the GICC has reached its capacity, those attending graduation ceremonies may want to consider parking at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and using the SkyTrain to access the GICC. Rates for parkings follows: 

• Airport Parking: $20 daily rate. Accepted payment methods include cash, credit, and debit cards.

• ATL West Parking: $30 daily rate. They also accept cash, credit, and debit cards.

Attendees may also want to consider various commercial satellite parking lots and shuttling to the airport to catch the SkyTrain to the GICC, local transit services, if applicable,  and Uber or Lyft options, as alternative options.

CCPS wants this to be a joyful celebration for the graduates and their parents/guardians, relatives, friends, and guests. For this reason, the following items are NOT allowed in the Performing Arts Center/GICC for any graduation ceremony. Guests will be asked to return them to their vehicle. District/Performing Arts Center/GICC staff will NOT be responsible for holding or watching items.

● Weapons
● Tobacco or vaping products (this includes lighters)
● Balloons (by city ordinance of College Park and Clayton County Public Schools)
● Signs of any size (handheld church style fans are permitted)
● Noise-Makers
● Confetti
● Glass vases
● Food/Drink (in the auditorium)
