CCPS... Where Literacy Lives

At Clayton County Public Schools, literacy is more than a skill; it is a way of life!
CCPS…Where Literacy Lives is our districtwide campaign to ensure that reading, learning, and meaningful communication extend beyond the classroom and into every corner of our community, where students and families learn, grow, and connect every day. Because when literacy is everywhere, it becomes a part of who we are.
As part of this initiative, CCPS proudly presents our Books and… series beginning with our Board Members and expanding to voices across our community. Each feature is paired with a Community Connection Activity, designed to help families read, talk, create, and apply learning together; bringing literacy to life at home and in the community. Through these experiences, we aim to foster a joy of reading while also strengthening students’ oral language and expanding their vocabulary.
We invite you to explore, engage, and be a part of the movement to help build literacy beyond classrooms! Be sure to check back regularly for new read-alouds, activities, and opportunities to stay connected.
Together, we are building a stronger, more connected Clayton County because here, literacy lives everywhere.
