Buildings Department
The Buildings Department maintains, renovates, and modifies over 76 district facilities. Responsibilities include installation and repair of roofs, floors, walls, fence, welding, masonry, cabinetry, and glass, overseeing annual bleacher inspections. The Buildings Department is also responsible for the relocation of modular classrooms, overseeing all of the 27,344 key required entries in the county, which includes classroom doors, entry doors closets, and office doors. Additionally, the Buildings Department helps the Construction Department during SPLOST renovations and new builds.
The Buildings Department has 1 supervisor, 3 master technicians, 6 technicians, and 10 apprentices.
