Complete your elections early to resolve any sign-in or enrollment questions.
Open Enrollment is your opportunity to prepare your benefits for the year ahead. Take time to review your current coverage, compare the available options, and make any changes that fit your needs and budget. Elections made during this period are for coverage beginning January 1, 2027.
CCPS employees use two separate enrollment systems: the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) for health coverage and GaBreeze for flexible benefits. Review both, even if you expect to keep your current elections.
Health Benefits | SHBP
SHBP administers CCPS health coverage. For Plan Year 2027, eligible employees can review health plan options offered through Anthem, UnitedHealthcare, and Kaiser Permanente. Compare premiums, covered services, provider networks, and prescription drug coverage before choosing a plan.
To review or change your health coverage:
- Read the 2027 SHBP Active Member Decision Guide.
- Sign in to the SHBP Enrollment Portal during Open Enrollment, or contact SHBP Member Services for help making an election.
- Review your plan, coverage tier, covered dependents, and any applicable surcharge information.
- Save or print your confirmation after submitting a change.
If you are currently enrolled in an SHBP commercial plan and take no action, SHBP states that you will remain in your current plan option and coverage tier with your current medical claims administrator for 2027. Review your information anyway: your 2027 premium and other plan details may differ from 2026.

Flexible Benefits | GaBreeze
GaBreeze is where eligible employees review and elect flexible benefits, including dental, vision, life, disability, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, cancer coverage, and flexible spending accounts. Availability and costs depend on the benefit and your eligibility.
To review or change your flexible benefits:
- Explore the Plan Year 2027 Flexible Benefits resources, including the Benefits at a Glance summary, What’s New brochure, and rate sheet.
- Sign in at GaBreeze.ga.gov to review your current elections and available options.
- Check your covered dependents, beneficiaries, coverage amounts, and costs. Pay particular attention to any benefit that requires a new election for 2027.
- Save or print your confirmation after submitting a change.

Before You Finish:
- Review both SHBP and GaBreeze; an election in one system does not update the other.
- Confirm that your dependents and beneficiaries are listed correctly and respond to any request for dependent verification.
- Check the cost of your choices for 2027.
- Save a confirmation from each system in which you make an election.
