Clayton County Public Schools is always looking for great talent to add to our substitute teaching, substitute paraprofessional, and substitute Pre-K Teacher Assistants pool. - Have passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Georgia Educator’s Certificate can be provided in lieu of transcripts
- Provide at least one current or previous supervisory reference and at least one character reference
- Attend the substitute teacher training by invitation
Rates of Pay for Substitute Teachers:
- $120 Daily
- $145 Long Term (10 consecutive days or more in the same classroom)
- $175 Long Term with a valid Georgia Educator’s Certificate (10 consecutive days or more in the same classroom)
Rate of Pay for Substitute Paraprofessional
- $110 Daily
Rate of Pay for Pre-K Teacher Assistant
- $110 Daily
Substitutes are provided reasonable assurance of continued employment for the upcoming school year. As a substitute, you are used on an as-needed basis with no guarantee of hours and are not eligible for benefits.
