A Brief Overview of Assistive Technology for Parents and Families.

This training will introduce parents of school-age children to assistive technology devices and services; help them determine what assistive technology (AT) their child might need to overcome barriers and achieve their goals, and locate sources for AT.

Webinar: Georgia Medicaid Basics and CMOs

Learn about Medicaid services. Participants will also learn how to be effective advocates when they have Medicaid services provided by one of the following Care Management Organizations: WellCare, Peach State Health Plan, Care Source or Amerigroup Community Care.

This course will include an overview of Georgia’s Medicaid waivers, and will explore specifically the NOW/COMP waivers. You will learn about the eligibility requirements, how to apply, the services covered, and what happens once your child/young adult’s NOW/COMP waiver is funded. You will also be provided some tips and suggestions on how Parent to Parent of Georgia can help you navigate this process.
