New Facility to Support Adaptive Sports and Clayton Eagles
The Clayton Eagles, our district's esteemed AdaptED sports team, have soared to impressive heights this year. In a significant development, the gym at the Central Office South building in Lovejoy, GA has been transformed into the "Eagles’ Nest," a dedicated sports complex for the team. This transformation includes vibrant new logos adorning the walls, a state-of-the-art remodeled weight room, and an elegant new trophy display to showcase the team’s accomplishments.
The establishment of the Eagles Nest has sparked a remarkable increase in district-wide enthusiasm for the Clayton Eagles. More players have been inspired to join the team, and there's been a noticeable boost in staff attendance at games, fostering a stronger community spirit. Highlighting the team’s success, the Eagles advanced to the State AdaptED Sports Basketball Championship in Macon in March 2024. This initiative not only enhances the athletic opportunities available to our students but also promotes inclusivity and community engagement, celebrating the achievements of all students in a highly visible and supportive environment.
