Dr. Quintella B. Harrell
Dr. Quintella B. Harrell serves as the Academic Content Lead-Student Services for CCPS. Dr. Harrell joined CCPS in 2004 as a biology teacher at Lovejoy High School. In 2010, she joined the Hospital Homebound (HHB) Department and has served as HHB lead since 2013. As HHB Lead, Dr. Harrell processes and approves all HHB referrals. Her duties also require communicating with CCPS schools, Student support Services, hospitals, healthcare facilities, educational advocates, and health care providers (nurses, physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, etc.).
A native of historical Selma, Alabama, Dr. Harrell received an undergraduate degree in Biology/Chemistry from Talladega College in Alabama. She landed her first public teaching job with Cincinnati Public Schools and later returned to her hometown and worked with Selma City Schools as a science teacher, Science Department Chair and Supervisor of Instruction for Alternative Education. Dr. Harrell earned her master’s and specialist degrees in Science Education, Administration, and Supervision of Instruction. She earned her doctoral degree in Instructional Leadership. In her spare time, Dr. Harrell enjoys traveling, dining out, and spending time with family.
