Grade-Level ISP Checklist

9th Grade | Build the Foundation

• Review graduation requirements, credits, and promotion expectations

• Complete interest and strengths exploration to begin identifying pathways

• Set academic and attendance goals with check-ins for progress

• Strengthen success skills: organization, time management, and self-advocacy

10th Grade | Align to a Pathway

• Refine pathway interests and align courses to future goals

• Explore careers: clusters, job outlook, and required education/training

• Build involvement through activities, leadership, and service

• Begin documenting accomplishments for résumé development

11th Grade | Prepare for the Transition

• Develop a postsecondary shortlist aligned to the Four E’s

• Plan for testing (if needed), dual enrollment, and credential opportunities

• Begin scholarship planning and financial aid readiness

• Prepare recommendation and application materials (when applicable)

12th Grade | Finalize the Plan

• Confirm graduation status (credits, required courses, and assessments)

• Complete applications (college/tech, jobs, military, or business plan)

• Finalize FAFSA and scholarship submissions

• Commit to a postsecondary plan and complete transition steps
