Student Withdrawal Process

• Only the parent or legal guardian who originally enrolled the student may request a withdrawal.
• A copy of a valid driver's license or state-issued ID is required to begin the process.
• You must provide your new address.
• Please include the name of the school your student will be transferring to. If it is out of state, include the name of the state as well.

Clayton County Public Schools records requests must be submitted via the following link: https://claytonga.scriborder.com/

Clayton County Public Schools does not accept records request via email or by fax to safeguard student data. 

Return all textbooks, library books, Chromebooks, Chromebook chargers, uniforms, and instruments. 

Ensure that all outstanding fees are paid. 

Copy of enrolling parent ID. Please note that only the enrolling parent can submit a withdrawal request for their child.

• Complete a withdrawal request via the CCPS Parent Portal for each child 
• Upload the enrolling parent's photo identification of the enrolling parent
• Answer all questions 
• Provide the new school's address and start date
• Click submit 

If you do not have a parent portal account, proceed to the next step. 

Parent Portal:

 1. Log in to the Parent Portal  site: https://sis.clayton.k12.ga.us/campus/portal/parents/clayton.jsp  

2. Enter your Parent Portal Username and Password. If you do not have a  Parent Portal account, click here: Parent Portal Account to create a Username and Password.

3. Click Menu

 4. Click More.

5. Click Updates, withdrawals, and transfers.

7. Click Type of Application: Existing Student (Students who are currently enrolled in CCPS) or New Student Registration (Students who have never been enrolled at CCPS).

8. Click Start.

9. Once the application is complete and all documents are uploaded, click Submit.

This step is for enrolling parents/guardians or caregivers who do not have access to the CCPS Parent Portal to withdraw their student(s).

Visit your student's school of attendance to complete the withdrawal process.
