The CCPS Department of Technology is committed to high performance! This is evident to all stakeholders through the acquisition of the best digital resources and comprehensive training to support teachers and instruction.

DIGITAL CLASSROOM SOLUTION

Every instructional classroom and media center in CCPS is equipped with a 75” Boxlight Procolor, multi-touch, 4K, interactive flat panel (IFP).

The Department of Technology has also provided each teacher and media specialist with the MimioPad, a wireless slate allowing instructors to be mobile in their learning environment. In addition to the IFP and MimioPad for each teacher, the Department of Technology has provided several MimioVote kits and MimioViews to each school in the district. COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT FOR DIGITAL CLASSROOM

The instructional Technology team is providing comprehensive support and training to the teacher for the Boxlight Mimio classroom solution. Each school is assigned a digital learning specialist (DLS). Support is available to teachers both virtually and face-to-face (F2F).

F2F training is available: *In a small/large group setting - as determined by school administrator *Shoulder-to-shoulder, in a teacher’s classroom, by teacher request

DLSs are available to teachers via Google Classroom, email, phone, and text.

G SUITE FOR EDUCATION

CCPS has been a G Suite district since April 2016. The Department of Technology has implemented this full suite of productivity tools that maximize instructional time, increase engagement between students and teachers, and provide opportunities to deliver immediate or timely  feedback. Teachers have an onsite Technology Liaison (TL) to support them with the G Suite platform. The TLs are trained and supported by the Instructional Technology team. In addition to the TL’s support, ALL CCPS Staff can participate in monthly G Suite webinars. See CCPS Google Training Program for a complete schedule and offerings. The Department of Technology’s goal is to issue a personal learning device to each CCPS 3rd-12th grader. The 2019-2020 school year marks Phase II of this implementation. Phase II includes approximately 2,100 students in 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th, and 10th grades.
