Network Infrastructure The Department of Technology upgraded the network infrastructure at administrative locations, including Transportation and the Professional Learning Center. This provides state-of-the-art equipment, enhancing network security, bandwidth, and protocols. Additionally, the school server infrastructure for EOC and GMAS testing has been improved.
ERP Giving Week From November 6th-10th, 2023, the EIS team conducted activities to boost stakeholder engagement with our ERP systems. These included specialized training for Executime and Munis, personalized 1:1 support, and appreciation giveaways for our partners. This initiative empowered users to better navigate the ERP ecosystem and strengthened interdepartmental collaboration.
Tyler GA User Group Meeting This vendor-led event offered a key opportunity to enhance our ERP platform knowledge and operational efficiency. CCPS made a strong impression, prominently representing our district among Georgia peers. Attendees engaged with our users, fostering relationships and sharing insights on trends and best practices. Hands-on experiences with advanced technologies provided valuable tools to boost efficiency and performance.
Builders Best Publication Award Nominee Clayton County Public Schools nominated the Technology Department for the inaugural Clayton County Public Schools Builders Best Publication Award. This recognition highlights our commitment to delivering quality content for our schools and departments. While we did not win, being acknowledged as a producer of high-quality content was a significant honor.
Education Technology Implementation District of the Year Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) has been named Education Technology Implementation District of the Year by Boxlight. This first-time award recognizes CCPS's outstanding commitment to integrating technology, creating a dynamic learning environment that prepares students for 21st-century success.
Champion Teacher Appreciation Award Event On May 7, 2024, the CCPS Department of Technology and Boxlight-EOS honored around 40 educators for their effective use of educational technology, including Canvas LMS and Boxlight-Mimio tools, to enhance instruction and student engagement. The event included STEM activities, team building, networking, and recognitions such as the Digital Classroom Champion award, won by Mr. Tyray Monroe of Adamson MS. Superintendent Dr. Anthony Smith received the Education Technology Implementation District of the Year award from Boxlight CEO Mr. Dale Strang, highlighting Clayton County's commitment to progressive learning through advanced technology and tailored training from Boxlight-EOS Digital Learning Specialists.
