Clayton County Public Schools is proud to join with the Fayette County Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Education Committee to participate in the A Call to Action Town Hall Summit on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at the Sam’s Auditorium in Fayetteville, Georgia! The Sam’s Auditorium is located at 205 LaFayette Avenue in Fayetteville, Georgia 30214.
Created with a theme of “An Educated Approach to our Children’s Safety”, the purpose of this summit is to engage stakeholders by taking a proactive approach to address the issue of “Guns in Our Schools”. As part of the summit, we are excited to share that Superintendent/CEO of Schools, Dr. Morcease J. Beasley and CCPS Chief of School Police, Thomas Trawick will participate in a panel discussion moderated by Ms. Edali Pollard of Equenec Consulting.
Scheduled to begin at 10:00 am, other partners include Fayette County Board of Education, the Griffin-Spaulding County School System, Georgia State University’s Criminal Justice, and Criminology Department, Georgia State University’s College of Education & Human Development, McIntosh Trail – Mental Health – Fayette County Counseling Center and the Public Policy Development of the Southeast Region, Inc.
