Here's What's Happening

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, Clayton County Public Schools had the pleasure of celebrating our 2025 retirees at a wonderful ceremony held at the Morrow Center. The ceremony started with an amazing reception hour and was followed by a memorable event attended by family, friends, and colleagues who gathered to honor the dedicated service of our retirees.

 

The evening began with a warm welcome from Ms. Shakira Rice, Executive Director, setting a friendly and inviting tone for all attendees. Dr. Anthony W. Smith, CEO & Superintendent of Schools, extended heartfelt greetings to both our honorees and guests as they embarked on their "Walk of Fame."

 

Dr. Douglas Hendrix Sr., Senior Deputy Superintendent, and Mr. Marquavius Hardy, current Employee of the Year, shared inspiring words that resonated with everyone present. The ceremony also featured special presentations by supervisors, culminating in closing remarks by Ms. Felicia Brown, Assistant Superintendent.

 

We extend our deepest gratitude to all the retirees for their years of commitment and dedication to Clayton County Public Schools. We wish them much success and happiness in their future endeavors.
