Here's What's Happening
Clayton County Public Schools Board Member Ms. Sabrina Hill proudly hosted the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA) “Achieve the Dream” Event at the S. Truett Cathy Professional Learning Center from August 22–24, 2025. The three-day event welcomed hundreds offamilies seeking affordable homeownership opportunities through NACA’s nationally acclaimed program. The Achieve the Dream Event offered attendees direct access to NACA’s Best in America Mortgage, which provides no down payment, no closing costs, no mortgage insurance, no consideration of credit scores, and below-market fixed interest rates. Through one-on-one counseling, document review, and educational workshops, many participants left the event with the confidence — and in some cases, the approval —needed to purchase their first home.

Shelby Dickens became emotional after receiving approval, stating, “I got teary-eyed, had a couple of tears because I've wanted to have my own home for a long time,” she shared in the video. Now that I have a son, I want him to grow up in a house just as I did, and give him the same type of life my mother and father gave me. This program is helping me do it. I’m so grateful. It’s a blessing — I get to be a part of the American
dream.”
Ms. Sabrina Hill emphasized the importance of bringing resources like this directly to the community, noting, “When families achieve homeownership, they create stability, pride, and generational wealth. This event demonstrates the power of partnership in giving Clayton County families opportunities to thrive.” NACA Founder Bruce Marks echoed that message, citing the program’s success: “We’ve completed over 75,000 mortgages with these terms and have a foreclosure rate of just one-hundredth of 1%. This is the most effective, affordable homeownership program in the nation.”
