Updated

On March 27, 2025, Dr. Jessie Goree, CCPS Board Chair and District 3 representative hosted the 4th Annual Girls Conference at the Clayton County Performing Arts Center. Themed “Strive to Thrive in 2025,” the event featured inspiring student performances, a powerful keynote by Ms. Brandi Harvey, and interactive breakout sessions on leadership, self-empowerment, and personal growth. Superintendent Dr. Anthony W. Smith emphasized the link between female empowerment and academic achievement, and special thanks were extended to Ms. Kim Blackwood, CCPS Board Liaison, for her support. The conference left attendees motivated to thrive and lead with purpose!
