The Clayton County Board of Education today announces its intentions to increase the 2026 property taxes it will levy this year by 2.42 percent over the rollback millage rate.
A series of three public hearings on this tax increase will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., and Monday, October 5, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. (newly added) during a called meeting of the Board. The hearings will be held at the Clayton County Board of Education Administrative Complex, 1058 Fifth Avenue, Jonesboro, GA, 30236
