Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) proudly congratulates Superintendent/CEO of Schools, Dr. Anthony W. Smith, and Senior Deputy Superintendent-Chief of Staff, Dr. Douglas Hendrix Sr., on being honored during the 2024 Living Legends Awards ceremony. Superintendent Smith, for the second time, received the Living Legends Education Award, and Dr. Hendrix received the Honorable Mention Living Legends Education Award. These prestigious recognitions, presented by the Forest Park Ministerial Association, celebrate their commitment and dedication to the field of education and their lasting impact on the community. The awards banquet occurred on October 26, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Paradise Church of God in Christ Gymnasium in Forest Park, Georgia. Clayton County Board Vice Chair, Mr. Benjamin Straker, District 9, was in attendance and graciously accepted Superintendent Smith’s award in his absence.
