Here's What's Happening

Students across Clayton County are invited to put their reading skills to the test for Greg Street’s We Need 2 Read Read-A-Thon: Christmas Bonus edition – an exciting, high-energy literacy competition, featuring $5,000 in total prizes. This event will take place at the Clayton County Library Headquarters on Saturday, December 20th, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

 

The “We Need 2 Read Program” motivates middle and high school students to read for six consecutive hours, offering cash prizes while promoting literacy and fostering a love of reading. The program rewards students for their focus, discipline, and commitment to academic excellence.

 

Cash Prizes Include:

High School Division

 

● 1st Place: $1,500

● 2nd Place: $1,000

● 3rd Place: $500

 

Middle School Division

 

● 1st Place: $1,000

● 2nd Place: $500

● 3rd Place: $250

 

Greg Street, Rare Breed MC Atlanta, and Shakira Brown Rice will host the event,

bringing together education, entertainment, and community engagement in a fun and

empowering environment.
