Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) has been awarded the prestigious title of Education Technology Implementation District of the Year by Boxlight, a leading provider of interactive educational technology solutions. This esteemed recognition marks the first time such an award was presented by Boxlight, underscoring CCPS's exceptional commitment to integrating technology into education.


On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Boxlight representatives, including CEO Dale Strang and Krista Walker-Kier, Senior Innovation and Development Director, along with Digital Learning Specialists, visited Clayton County to present the award to Dr. Anthony W. Smith, Superintendent/CEO of Schools, alongside key members of the CCPS Technology leadership team. Among those honored were Mr. Andy Sykes, Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Howard Langford, Executive Director of Technology, Ms. Verna Sampson, Director of Instructional Technology, and the CCPS Instructional Technology Team.
