Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) is proud to announce that Dr. Ralph L. Simpson, our esteemed Deputy Superintendent, will serve as the closing keynote speaker at the 2024 Equity Immersion: Foster Belonging event on Thursday, November 21 in Chicago.

Dr. Simpson will deliver his keynote, Reach Before You Teach, sharing his extensive experience and dedication to supporting students in low-income and urban communities. With a distinguished career as a Turnaround Principal, Regional Superintendent, and now Deputy Superintendent at CCPS, Dr. Simpson will address essential strategies for implementing restorative practices, trauma-informed care, social-emotional learning, and mental health initiatives in educational settings.

His keynote message will empower educators and leaders to create nurturing, supportive environments that elevate student success. This keynote address will be part of the Equity Immersion Conference, hosted by the Illinois Association of School Boards, preceding the Joint Annual Conference. The 2024 theme, “Foster Belonging,” invites participants to envision and cultivate school environments where every voice is heard, valued, and included. Join us in celebrating Dr. Simpson’s achievements and congratulating him on this significant recognition!
